ORDINANCE 2026-04

AN ORDINANCE ENACTING TITLE 7 PUBLIC SERVICES AND UTILITIES, CHAPTER 7.11 TO THE OAKLEY CITY CODE; COMMUNITY CLEAN ENERGY PROGRAM

On May 27th 2026, at the regularly scheduled Oakley City Council meeting, Ordinance 2026-04 was formally adopted and is effective as of this posting date, June 1, 2026.

Ordinance 2026-04 enacts Title 7.11 of the Oakley City Code and adopts and establishes its participation in the Community Clean Energy Program as approved by the Public Service Commission of Utah.

The Community Clean Energy Program is a partnership between Rocky Mountain Power and Utah Renewable Communities, a coalition of 19 local Utah communities.  The program allows residents and businesses to choose net-100% renewable electricity, an option not available otherwise.  With Oakley City’s participation in the program Oakley residents are enrolled in the program, without this definitive action participation in the program would not be available.  Residents will have the option to “opt-out” of the program.  Further notice on details will be provided by Rocky Mountain Power.

This ordinance is available in its entirety for viewing at the Oakley City offices, located at 960 West Center Street, Oakley Utah 84055, Monday through Thursday during the hours of operation 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or on our website at www.oakleyut.gov
